80ko hamarkadan hasi zuen bere ibilbidea musikaren munduan Ismael Sustraivibezek. Bilduma zale amorratua da eta soinu teknikari ikasketak egin bazituen ere irrati esatari bezala dabil Gasteizko Hala Bedi irratian. Jamaikako soinuen jarraitzaile izateaz gain doinu Afro-latinoak ere antzun daitezke bere saioetan. Horiek, Soulful, Disco, Boogie eta Chicagoko House musikarekin nahasten ditu. 6 urtez Bartzelonako disko denda ospetsu batean eta bi irratsaiotan lan egin zuen. ‘Hamabipulgada’ irratsaioa egiten du Gasteizera itzuli zenetik. Enlace Funk, Serie B edo Concepto Radio bezalako aldizkarietako kolaboratzailea da eta Jazz Upper Egypt Series kolektiboko kide da Dj Uve, Thabeat Valera, Asmatik eta Abel Galleta (Galleta records zigiluko burua) dj-ekin batera. Gauez edo egunez entzun daitezke bere DJ saioak.

En activo desde finales de los 80 es un apasionado amante de la música. Dj, coleccionista de discos y locutor de radio a pesar de que estudió para técnico de sonido. Buen conocedor de todo lo jamaicano también goza con la vibración Afro-latina aunque su temperamento enérgico le lleve a los upbeats más Soulful, Disco, Boogie y House de raiz al estilo Chicago. Paso 6 años en Barcelona trabajando para una conocida tienda de discos y dos emisoras de radio, desde su vuelta a Gasteiz presenta su programa Hamabipulgada en Hala Bedi Irratia y colabora con otros medios de prensa musical (Enlace Funk, Serie B, Concepto Radio…) forma parte del colectivo de diggers de Jazz Upper Egypt Series junto a Dj Uve, Thabeat Valera, Asmatik y Abel Galleta, capo del sello de BCN Galleta records y por supuesto continua poniendo sus discos bien sea de noche…o de día.

Shut Up!!! funk-rock instrumentala jorratzen duen talde gaztea da. Fernando Laskurain (gitarra), Mikel Azkargorta (baxua) eta Mikel Ilarduia (bateria) Mahaster River eta Aby Kem bezalako taldeetan ibilitako eskarmentodun musikoak dira, eta azken bi urteak daramatzate proiektu honetan lanean. Jazz-a, funk berriena, rock klasikoena eta hurbilketa pertsonal eta intimistagoak uztartutzen dituzten konposizio propioak sortu dituzte, eta zuzenan kanten intentsitatearekin jolastea gustatzen zaie, beraien nahasketa bereziarekin eta proposamen ausartarekin publikoa ezustean hartuz.

Shut Up!!! es una banda joven de funk-rock instrumental formada por Fernando Laskurain (guitarra), Mikel Azkargorta (bajo) y Mikel Ilarduia (batería), músicos que han participado anteriormente en formaciones como Mahaster River y Aby-Kem. Llevan dos años ensayando y creando sus propias canciones, con influencias que van del jazz al funk más actual, pasando por el rock clásico y otras aproximaciones más intimistas y personales. Un grupo al que le gusta jugar con la intensidad de sus temas y sorprender al público con su arriesgada propuesta y lo heterogeneo de sus composiciones.

Vinyl dealer since 80’s and founder of famous “Happiness” record shop in Biarritz-France; he picked rare and original vinyl collector pieces. He met the top of the French Touch artists and he crossed the road of the international electronic scene of DJs and producers. He has shared , to name but a few Gilles Peterson, Alex Gopher, Dj Cam, Grooverider,… in many gigs between France & Spain. His sets are the result of his knowledge of rare floor-filler beats, latin jazz tunes and black music vibes: he plays an eclectic mix of jazz, disco, funk, soul, reggae, brazil and early electro. Currently, he’s working on a new artistic collective project: performance, live music & exhibition.

On&On es un disc jockey de Bilbao que desde hace unos años se dedica a hacer bailar al personal ya sea en discotecas como el Fever o en pequeños clubes como el Bullitt Groove Club o el Caos en Bilbao. A pesar de que sus formas están basadas en el hip-hop y en funk es su pasión, ningún estilo tiene prohibida la entrada en su maleta de vinilos. Desde el jazz hasta el dubstep, la variedad está garantizada.

DJ, music lover, vinyl junkie from Argentina! DIY style! Music is my favorite way to comunicate with people!
Soy DJ desde 1990. La música es mi herramienta para expresarme e interactuar con los demás. A traves de ella me gusta crear climas y llevar a la gente por diferentes sensaciones. Mientras más son, más lo disfruto…en la diversidad está el sabor de la vida y eso es lo que busco transmitir. 

Desde mediados de los 90s me dedico a explorar las fusiones de música “dance” con estilos como jazz, funk, soul, afro-latin, brasilian, etc. Esa es mi especialidad.

Puedo tocar en escenarios totalmente diferentes entre si como una pista para 1000 personas o un bar, ambientar muestras de arte, musicalizar desfiles, atardeceres en la playa, festivales, etc. 

Marcas como Adidas, Chandon, L’Oreal, VH1, Camel, Ballantine’s,… entre otras, me convocaron para sus eventos. 

Tuve la oportunidad de compartir cabina con referentes mundiales como Jazzanova (Alemania), Kid Loco (Francia), Frankie Valentine (UK), …

2005ean sortutako talde honek ‘I got you, man’ bere lehen singlea argitaratu eta berehala lortu zuen nazioarteko onespena. Ordutik, nazioarteko hainbat jaialditan parte hartu dute eta bira luzeak egin dituzte Europa osoan zehar (Alemania, Turkia, Frantzia, Erresuma Batua, Suitza, Belgika, Portugal, Grezia, etab). 2006an, Alemaniako Unique Records diskoetxe ospetsuak ‘The Sweet Vandals’ beren lehen estudioko diskoa argitaratu zien. Disko honek oso kritika onak jaso zituen eta Maceo Parker, Sharon Jones eta Seun Kuti bezalako musikari handiekin aritzeko aukera eman zien. ‘Beautiful’ izeneko abestiak, gainera, nazioarteko iragarkietan entzun zen, eta funk-soul eszenako erreferentzia bilakatu zen taldea. 2009an beren bigarren estudioko diskoa kaleratu zuten: ‘Lovelite’. Formatu analogikoan grabatu zuten eta, besteak beste, Chip Wickham eta Inside Voices kolaboratu zuten grabaketan. Diskoaren aurkezpena BBC katearen Maida Vale estudioetan egin zuten. Estudio horietan Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Coldplay eta The White Stripes bezalako izar handiak aritu izan dira.
2011an ‘So clear’ argitaratu dute, beren azken estudioko diskoa. Formatu analogikoan grabatu dute lan hau ere, Sweet Records beren diskoetxe propioan oraingoan. Diskoak soinu naturala dauka eta taldearen heldutasuna erakusten du.

Este grupo, nacido en 2005, obtuvo el reconocimiento internacional desde que publicara ‘I got you, man’, su primer single. Han participado en infinidad de festivales internacionales y han realizado intensas giras a lo largo de toda Europa (Alemania, Turquía, Francia, Reino Unido, Suiza, Bélgica, Portugal, Grecia, etc). En 2006, el prestigioso sello alemán Unique Records les publicó su primer álbum de estudio: ‘The Sweet Vandals’. Este disco, que consiguió muy buenas críticas por parte de los medios especializados, les valió para actuar junto a artistas de la talla de Maceo Parker, Sharon Jones y Seun Kuti, entre otros. Canciones como ‘Beautiful’ llegaron a sonar en las bandas sonoras de conocidos anuncios publicitarios. En 2009 llegó ‘Lovelite’, su segundo disco de estudio. Este trabajo, que muestra el lado más soul de la banda, se estrenó en los estudios Maida Vale de la BBC, donde antes actuaron artistas como Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Coldplay y The White Stripes. El disco cuenta con la colaboración de artistas internacionales como Chip Wickham e Inside Voices, y, gracias a la grabación realizada en formato analógico, el disco cuenta con un sonido muy especial. En 2011 vuelven a grabar en analógico y publican ‘So clear’, hasta el momento su último álbum de estudio. Editado en su propia discográfica, Sweet Records, muestra un sonido natural y la madurez de un grupo que se ha convertido en referencia indispensable de la escena funk-soul mundial.

The Teenagers, as they are known on the soul circuit, play soul music with a visceral attitude; authentic and credible in a world where image is more often than not valued higher than music. Their 2008 debut release, Waiting for the First Bus in the Morning, on 7″, has been followed by the 7″ Keep on walking – Unique Records, giving a shot of their first LP, recorded in Madrid under the auspices of Carlo Coupé for Unique Records, “NOT TOO YOUNG” that has seen the light in June 2010 and has been considered the tenth best album by the prestigious musical Route 66 spanish magazine and the fifth best album of the year by the Mondo Sonoro Southern Edition. DJ PETE ISAAC “JELLY JAZZ” (UK)

Pete Isaac lleva desde los 18 años organizando fiestas Jelly Jazz. Por ellos han pasado músicos y grupos de la talla de Sharon Jones & The Dapkings, Lou Donaldson, The New Mastersounds y The Quantic Soul Orchestra entre otros. Además, lleva el programa de radio The Jelly Jazz Radio Show en la emisora Phonic FM, que pincha melodías de jazz, soul, funk o latin beats. Dj Pete Isaac es una referencia obligatoria en la escena musical del Reino Unido.

DJ KUKI MONSTAH (Poland)

El Dj polaco Kuki Monstah es desde hace unos años uno de los máximos exponentes y absoluto dinamizador de la escena polaca de djs de jazz dance, funk y soul mezclados con beats modernos. Mensualmente organiza las fiestas Soul Confectionery en el club Jazzga de Lodz, donde combina sesiones de djs internacionales y actuaciones en directo con artistas plásticos haciendo live painting.
